BIRTHDAY COMMITTEE
Each month make birthday cards for the people celebrating that month. You can also in addition create posters for their bedroom door!
Why? The birthday person feels celebrated, and the committee members have a purpose, a role, and a way to give something to someone else. It also gives the committee members a chance to be creative, which is meaningful all on its own.

DECORATE THEIR BEDROOM DOOR
It sounds small, but it makes a big difference. This publicly recognizes their birthday, while also lets them know someone remembered their birthday in the first place!
OUR FAVORITE BIRTDHAY DOOR DECOR:
Side of Door Banners (these are longer then they look, so best for bigger areas around doors or gathering area)
These wooden ones are some of my personal favorites because they look like something someone would have on their front door, rather than a party. more of a homey feel...

GROUP BIRTHDAY PARTY
Invite families to attend. In Laura's Activity Room, there is a birthday party template available to send to families via email, mail or text message.
If an option gifts
As it is a group party, I like to spotlight each person and ask the group what we like about the people we are celebrating.
Treats. I like to have a group ahead of time bake the cake together the day before or morning of the birthday party. Another way to give and include other individuals.
I like to play Birthday Songs - here is a birthday playlist for oldies birthday songs that you may enjoy on YouTube
Familiar and Fun... Need I say more?
Honestly, I have had to decide when it is worth it to play bingo at a birthday party or not. However, it does have a familiar favorite and also include families in something they love.
